PENDEKATAN DAN ANALISIS KRITIS TARIKAN BUDAYA PRAGMATISME PENDIDIKAN ISLAM PADA DUNIA MODERN
Abstrak
This article is motivated by the fact that educational innovation in Indonesia is still low, this is reflected in the competitiveness of Indonesian human resources which is still weak when compared to Southeast Asian countries. The presence of pragmatism theory is expected to be a theoretical alternative to the Islamic education innovation approach. This article seeks to formulate the design and innovation process of Islamic Education based on qualitative research and literature studies. This article is a philosophical study as an effort to construct the innovation process of Islamic Education in the perspective of Islamic philosophy and pragmatism, also provides solutions to the existence of a culture of educational pragmatism among academics, where from all aspects of education there are elements of pragmatism, both from educators, students, curriculum, management, even facilities and infrastructure, concluding that the innovation process is a necessity.In an Islamic perspective, aqidah sohihah is the key and the first step in finding the purity of Islamic educational innovation. While pragmatism offers an innovative process of Islamic education based on systematic steps starting from reflective criticism, diagnosis, inventory, contemplation, hypothesis testing, public analysis, and finally implementation.then in educational pragmatization requires development of theoretical ones providing provisions that are ethical and normative, while practical ones can prepare professionals according to the needs of the community. Proportionalization of theoretical and practical is important, so that education does not give birth to disguised materialism when overemphasizing the practical.
